Hard drive

Hello,
how can i make windows xp pro recognize a 500gig hard drive? it only sees 138+ gig on the hard drive. i am doing an xp pro full install

The most likely answer is that you need XP Pro Service Pack 2 or above. If that is the case, either get a SP2 distribution or look up "slipstreaming" on line and build one.

A third alternative is to install it on a 138 GB partition, install all of the service packs, and then expand the size of the partition now that XP can see the whole drive.

Or install Win7. Or Ubuntu. Just kidding.

Check the Drive jumps too. ya never know
