Hard driveless OS

I've recieved an old computer with a broken hard drive, so I've decided to use TAILS with it through a CD as a tor computer, for I can't boot it off my USB stick for some reason (2002 dell inspiron laptop). Do you guys know any version of tails that are less than 700mb or any other OS that needs no HDD ? Thanks again.

Make your USB withwith RUFUS, linuxliveusb, YUMI or other tool.

Your 2002 Inspiron could be too old to boot off USB - check BIOS whether this is even an option.
Otherwise - I suppose that same Dell has CD/DVD drive, so you can try booting off DVD instead of CD.

I can't boot it off USB I need to use my CD, and the nearest store is pretty far away. can I run puppy linux out of my CD??
