Yesterday I started my computer only to realize that my secondary hard drive was not displayed under my computer. After checking the connections to the motherboard, I restarted it and got a message saying "bootmgr is missing press ctrl alt delete to restart". After a few tries at restarting it, I received a similar message saying "disk read error press ctrl alt delete to restart". Is there a way to fix this or should I just replace my hard drives?

Solution
Make sure your SATA cable all are snugly attached to mobo and drive, same with SATA power cables to the drives, also can try swapping the SATA cables (they can go bad), and try different SATA power connectors
Hi there Dwitt35,

If you try the steps that Tradesman1 proposed and nothing helps, you most probably will have to attach the drives to another computer. See how they are recognized over there(file systems, partition, etc). Also, you may be able to recover the important that you have on them.
