Hard Reset - a lot of lag after updating

Ok I've been playing a game called Hard Reset (Wikipedia link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_Reset) and when I first ran it everything went well. I had to set it to medium to get full speed though - I looked online (I went on Google and typed: Hard Reset patch) for a patch to see if it would help any. I found one (Hard Reset 1.24) and I downloaded and updated the game after that I started up the game and with all of the same settings I got a lot of lag... I am thinking about doing a clean install of the game and not updating (seeing as it ran better with no patches or anything).

** Additional info.**

patch_notes.txt (found in program folder): http://pastebin.com/f9HUAUAV

My specs...

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bits)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Processor @3.20 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 (1024 MB)
RAM: 8GB DDR3

Any advice?

Solution

its a DirectX 9.0c game and the patches does not require/add any of DX11 support.

- New default shaders cache.
- Faster generating shaders.
that might be the problem with 1.24, try 1.23 patch, besides i finished the game when still no patches are out and didnt have any problem / bugs.
i have your cpu and a GTX470 all maxout, the GT430 wont handle the game on max settings.
