um...i think this is in the right place.
anyways, I've been looking for parts for a gaming PC (on a website called pcpartpicker.com)
I've just noticed that this is going to cost a lot of money.
my question is do you think that this http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/OzSa
is good enough for a hardcore gaming PC.
i will be playing very large games on it and be overclocking it a a lot.
if you don't think it will be really good god you please explain why and help me fix that. thanks.

You certainly do not need 32Gb of RAM for gaming, 8Gb is fine if you're not doing intensive tasks such as 3d rendering and video editing.

Are you sure you need a sound card? On-board sound is not too bad these days? Though that is a personal decision. Same with the wireless adapter, can you not just use an Ethernet cable?

That is a very premium power supply, you can certainly save some money by getting something like a Corsair 600 CX, i believe its about £100 cheaper.

By doing these things as well as considering a non blu ray optical drive, you could save some money and buy a different graphics card, as although the 660 is okay, it certainly is not okay for 'hardcore' gaming.

If you'd like I could spec you out another solution for you to consider>

Motherboards nowadays come with sound built straight onto the motherboard, meaning no need for a dedicated sound card unless you want much higher quality of audio. Motherboard on-board sound would be fine for you I would imagine.

You do not need 24gb of RAM. How many games you install is irrelevant to RAM, you need a big hard drive to install lots of games. RAM is completely different. I understand the confusion as it is also referred to as 'memory'. I assure, you only need 8Gb, most games don't really go past 4Gb.

Also all motherboards have on board sound, so don't worry about that.

man!!!!!!!!!! 32 gb ram for what? are u about to run photoshop, maya, bf4, crysis3 , ac4 and all ur installed games at a time? 8 gb should be more dan enough... and really u don't need a 2tb hdd for hardcore gaming... save money from these two and get a 60/120 gb ssd... and recommend you to get the amd r9 270x (recommend asus) for a little bucks more and gonna reach the performance of a 760 by li'll tweaking and overclocking ur gfx card as the extreme 4 made for that... otherwise ur config is good to go.. and hey which cabinet u gonna buy.. or u are planning to fix that set up on ur head (with a sticker gaming in my head)... really joking.. get a cabinet with at least good airflow .. rosewill is a good option for cheap.
