Hardcore lag spikes

So I'm having a problem with playing my online games I have great ping and everything and I will still get lag spikes it never happened before but my wireless usb was also crashing my pc so I got a new one and it's still doing the same thing what should I do?? Thank you

Did you uninstall the driver that the old "wireless USB" (I'm assuming mouse) used?

I was using a USB WiFi adapter and yea I should be able to test it using an ethernet cord I will figure out what happens

So I tested with an ethernet cord and it work's perfect no lag spikes at all I could actually play a full game without lagging out so I'm not sure whats going on I have a brand new WiFi adapter and uninstalled my old one because it started to crash my computer and I'm not sure what I should do. Could factory resetting it fix the problem??

The issue with your old one could have been a bad driver. Plug the old one in if you still have it, go to Device Manager, find the adapter, and tell Windows to remove the driver for it. Then yank it and plug in the new one and make sure it's got its own driver.

How do I make sure it has its own driver the new one?

Go to the manufacturer's website, go to the support section, and there should be driver downloads there. You may have to dig a bit. Make sure you get the latest one.

So I tried it and it's still having lag spikes but they aren't as frequent as they were so I may try another game to see if that fixes it if not I'm not sure i couldnt find any new drivers for the adapter and I couldn't even find the adapter on the product website
