Hi,

My PC's Harddisk(Internal harddisk) is not detecting. All the open applications in my laptop freezes when this harddisk is connected. Now that all the applications freezes, I don't have an option to recover data/repair partitions using any of the available data recovery softwares. Please help !!

Solution
3.5" HDD is in just a USB case/casing with no power source of its' own - is that correct?

My thought is that the laptop is no longer (for whatever reason) able to provide enough power to the 3.5" HDD.

Are you able to boot another computer and plug the 3.5" USB HDD into that computer? And have the 3.5" drive appear?

The concern is that anything you do could cause additional problems and/or data loss. Is the drive's data backed up?

Seagate's diagnostic software may discover some problem with the 3.5" HDD. However the concern remains the same.

Do you have the data backed up?
Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Make and model of "connected" hard disk? Capacity? How full?

USB connection? Does the hard disk have its own independent power source or perhaps connected to an independently powered USB hub?
