Question Harddisk SUDDENLY dies.

hello. its me again.

i have a external harddisk with "hgst" brand. its 500gb and it was working fine until this evening. i got a new dvd drive and decided to install it to my computer. i closed my computer and installed the dvd drive and the next time i boot up my computer the harddisk was gone. the harddisk has electricity but bios refuses to read the harddisk. i changed its sata port, tried changing power cable but still nothing. entire internet tells me to go format the harddisk, try to recover it with programs etc. etc. but there is nothing i can do since my bios doesnt recognize my harddisk.

any kind of help would be appreciated.

I wonder if that ext HD can be tried in another computer.
1/28:I amended my post because it is an ext HD, not an int HD.
