Harddrive Cloning problem

Okay so I cloned my harddrive, but I cloned for the reason of having a larger storage capacity. I cloned my old 300Gb drive to a larger external 1Tb driver. But for some reason windows is reading the 1Tb drive as if its just a 300Gb drive. How can I clone my drive while also taking advantage of my full 1Tb drive?

Thanks

I merged the partitions and got all my storage back to the drive I cloned to. I restarted my PC and everything was much quicker than my older drive I cloned from(I can only assume this booted with the new and larger HDD). I turned off my PC and removed the SATA Cable from my older drive. I started up the PC again and I couldn't boot to the newer drive. So I plugged in the older drive and set the boot order to the older drive as a primary. Now my PC is booting from my older and slower drive.

How can I use my cloned drive as my primary drive?

Thanks.

don't know maybe should of stayed with 7 ?? no point overwriting a know working solid stable os for something like 10 ?? upgrades don't come with a disk that has the repair options and your now at that mercy ???

looks like a lot hangs on getting the boot manager straight in order to become bootable ?? [at least that's a step involved ]
