harddrive does not get detected.

As i wanted to download windows 10 from a stick on a computer for my sister my main 360GB seagate Drive wont get detected on the harddrive selecting screen. I tried to do that listdisk stuff and all that but it wouldnt work. Is it mayby the to old mainboard? Its a asus p5q pro board which is a bit old and has a q6600 on it. I heard that p5q drivers doesnt support win 10. Should i just try to install win 7 with the usb stick? What can i do?

Oh yeah right, it gets detected.

So it is seen in the BIOS but the windows installer can not see the disk? Is the BIOS set to IDE, AHCI or RAID? It should be AHCI. Windows 10 should have inbox drivers for a P35 chipset.

Where does it say in which configuration i have my disk in?

It should be under SATA configuration, but I am not familiar with that boards BIOS settings. The default setting should be AHCI or possible IDE (due to its age) unless you changed it
