Harddrive speed and steam downloads

I have noticed that when download/updating something to my ssd I get no problems, however, when downloading to my HDD on the download screen on steam it will sometimes say busy writing to disk. Is it what I think it is and that is the write speed of the drive? If it is can anyone one suggest a drive that wouldn't have this problem as much(4 1TB ssd's are not the answer...sadly)

the write speed depends on the size of the file needed to be written, very small sized files lot of time compared to a single big sized file

Just to be sure, what is your download speed?

My internet speed? 30 mbps. My Hard drive speed? no clue i would need to test

Then it's probably occuring when there are lots of small files being downloaded rather than less larger ones. Either that or your HDD is suffering terribly in degraded write speeds.

i guess its better to change your hdd
