Is it possible; to take a harddrive from one system, and force it to load on an entirely different system without re-formating the harddrive.

ya...it ll read off of as an add-on data drive

sometimes it might work, sometimes it wont, if itz windows 7 or vista n the hardwares aren't too outdated, it might b able to fetch driver for the new component automatically, but itz best to juz reformat n reinstall proper drivers instead

even if you get it to work you have a good chance of stability issues and driver conflicts not all drivers are easily uninstalled unless you know where to look for them. your best bet is to back up the data you need off that drive then do a clean install. you'll have a much more stable system
