Do PS2 hard drives work well? How about the new smaller PSTWO?

Looking to speed up GTA:XX and also Gran Turismo 4.

Thanks.

Works like a charm! I'm using HDLoader with a 40G hard drive and the
broadband adapter to play GTA:*. There are just a few games which don't
work with the HDLoader (or HDAdvance) software, but most games just
work.

GTA:SA doesn't load much faster, but in-game loading is significantly
faster, esp. when loading / retrying missions.

The newer PSTWO will not work with a harddisk.

That's the main thing I hate, I'm not really too bothered about in-game
loading. I'm just glad that the opening credits ("Rockstar Games
Present....") can be skipped by pressing X. The amount of times I've
turned the PS2 on and forgotten to skip.

Btw, has anybody else seen the gamefaqs.com chart yet? GTA:SA was only
just recently "officially" knocked off the top spot.

Cheers,
