So lately my hardrive has been making some creepy sounds, so im gonna replace it and was hoping to add a ssd and load windows onto it.... I don't know if i can bring my programs to the next drive... But is there an easy way to move everything 🙂

Hey there, Paul!

If the drive is so severely damaged, cloning the data from it is definitely not a good idea! The easy way would be using a cloning/migrating software for the apps but it will clone the corrupted files/sectors as well.
The best thing to do is to backup or copy/paste somewhere else the data. As for the programs, since you will be reinstalling the OS on an SSD, it would be best to reinstall the programs and software apps as well. Otherwise you are risking potential issues with the compatibility and proper loading & running of the programs. It might not be the easiest way to do this, but it's always best to start from scratch when you are updating any hardware on your system.

Hope I was helpful! :)

Ok so I was thinking of changing my gpu and case aswell, so what your saying is it will be easier to change them all at the same time

It is not necessary for the case, but it really depends on the gpu upgrade. For example, if the new graphics card is from the same manufacturer, you can simply uninstall and reinstall the drivers. But if you are upgrading with a different gpu brand, then you should consider reinstalling Windows again.
I guess, it's going to be much easier to change everything at once just be done with it, at least until the next rig upgrade! :)
