Is it just me or do foreign players seem to find it harder to settle in the
area in FM 2005? I'd say about half of all foreign players I sign for Napoli
find it hard to settle in the area then request a transfer.

Yeah my £10.5M man has now settled in the area but still wants to be
transfer listed for some reason. His morale is now superb so he's performing
well though...

Bring a player from the club that you just bought him from to keep him
company, or get a coach that speaks the same language!

Yup - he was rated at £7m on my game at Chelsea, started throwing wobblies
cos he wasn't playing, but then I couldn't get rid of him - kept dropping
the price down, but nothing! In the end mutual termination was the best
thing, cost me £235k compared to £1m for releasing him on a free!!

But I've got a load of Belgian youngsters who don't turn up for training,
and want to go home for a bit.

Now Makelele and Cech don't like me - I've done nothing to them, and yet
they're putting transfer requests in!!!

At least the rest of my squad is doing well!

Current team...

GK - Cech (Kasper)
DR - Johnson (Holmes - ex-Liverpool)
DL - Bridge (Dede)
DC - Terry (Huth)
DC - Carvalho (Gallas)
DMC - Makelele (Tiago)
MC - Lampard (Cole)
MC - Ballack (Robben)
AMC - Zola (Mutu)
SC - Torres (Kezman)
SC - Robinho (Drogba)

8 games to go and the league is like this...

1 - Arse P30 Pts 64 GD +45
2 - Chelsea P30 Pts 63 GD +44
3 - ManUre P30 Pts 62 GD +27
4 - Livershire P30 Pts 58 GD +30

Going to be interesting!

Will give an end of season run down when it ends!

It's a shame there isn't the option to allow players to return home for a
break. It used to be in CM4 and it would be a useful feature in FM.

for sure there is, I've sent Ricardo back to Brazil for a month at my AC
London game.

There is that - but the annoying thing is, I'd love to be able to loan all
these youngsters back to clubs in Belgium if they get unhappy!

I see that a load of Chelsea youngsters are currently at Westrlo.

the option is only available if the player says he is not settling, you
can't do it with a "normal" player

I bought Iniesta from Barca and Gerard was already a stalwart in my midfield
but that didn't stop Iniesta from moaning constantly and skipping training.

I got Iniesta for free and in the end I got a good deal for him - Bologna
half-bought him from me for £4.5M and if he turns out to be a success there
I can bid for him to get him back at the end of the season.

Well yeah.. him too.. up till now he's been absent from training about
10 times without the club fining him.. But players I sign for my
OB-team, soon begin to complain and I have to either fire them or sell
them again..

You're not getting any useful players from Beveren from what I've seen
of them.
