[SOLVED] Hardest choice ever: GTX 1070 TI + i7 8700K Or GTX 1080 + AMD Ryzen 5 1600x

I'm planning on buying one of the two in the morning and I need someone to explain and give a opinion on what they would pick. (These are prebuilt PC's I have price sniped at a good price since i'm a employee and will be getting two discounts for pickup and being employee so no stating what other parts I can go for)

I'd go with the 8700K. Its a stronger CPU than the Ryzen, and the GPU difference is pretty much negligible.

Cancel your plan for now and check first how those 9xxxs peform.
I5 9600k (6c/12t) and I9 9900k look very promising

I'd agree with Kashimi, but what is the price for both? If they are the same, then I'd go for the I7/1070ti combo.

what res monitor are you using?

NVIDIA GTX 1080 is 10-15% faster than 1070Ti. If you plan to game a lot, pick one with better GPU.

Also looks like Ryzen will deliver better CPU upgrade path (Ryzen 2 @ 7nm).
