Dell dm061, 2XIntel Pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.06 GHZ 3 gb ram, Ubuntu 14.10. GeForce 9600 GT. Seagate 500gb 7200 HDD.. Just trying to get it fast enough for Minecraft. When I check System in Ubuntu it says GPU is there. Check Hardinfo and it's not. Minecraft lagging like crazy (or so Grandkids say), while a second old PC (Pentium Dual-Core E5200 2.50 GHZ, 4 gb ddr2, GeForce GT610) apparently works great. GPU is working, but the fact that Hardinfo doesn't recognize it concerns me. Downloaded and installed latest Nvidia driver but no different. My concern is that the 9600 isn't being used fully by the system and that is why it's so slow. Any ideas? Thanks

This is what I got with the prompt command you suggested:

?? Thats only part of the output. Scroll up to see the rest! Maybe it will be more obvious if you use 'lspci -k' (just show kernel module in use)

You can use 'lspci -k >> any_file_name_you_want.txt'
to dump the contents to a text file. copy contents on it here on something like pastebin.com
