im upgrading my water cooled custom loop from flexible tubing to hard PETG tubing. I got my tubing and compression fittings in today.
I sanded down the edge of one of my tubes to see how they fit into the fitting. so i got the tube into the fitting. then when i removed the fitting from the tube.....well it seemed like it didnt take all that much force to pull it free. unlike my flexible tubing...that took some effort to get the tube off the fitting..
so my question to you all is.......is this normal? the hard tubing just pushes into the fitting...and a little tug will pull it free?

oh...i have XSPC tubing and XSPC triple seal fittings

Thanks

If these are the fittings you're taking about, then the lock collar should allow the tubing to remain in the fittings as the force you're applying would be unexpected in a system that will have fluid through it's loop unless someone was playing tug of war with the components.

That being said, the lock collar goes in first over the tubing(that has been chamfered)

and the lock collar should hold it in place.
