Hi I run my own computer service and repair business and am looking for a comprehensive hardware diagnostic software solution. Most of the HPs and Dells I've seen have built in software as well as the new Macs too. I don't run into hardware issues very often so I'm not totally sure about the overall situation with softwares included on PCs other than those I mentioned. How about Lenovo/Acer/etc? What's the best third party commercial solution on the market? Also what advantages would a full third party commercial suite have over the already included packages and also say memtest86/proprietary HDD diagnostics - it would allow motherboard failure detection as well as video card etc? Anything else it could help with? Is it really necessary/worthwhile to invest in such a solution? Anything else to consider on this topic? (Is this the right forum for this?)
Thanks!

Thanks for the response. None of the information there is what I'm looking for. I need a capacity to diagnose a full spectrum of hardware issues including motherboard malfunctions. There are obviously free softwares but are there any free for motherboard malfunctions? Is it worth it to invest in a paid commercial solution like pc doctor or ultrax? Do most computers come with built in diagnostic software besides HP and Dell?
