What is your full system spec?
What is the actual nature of the problem you encountered? Did you crash? BSOD? If so when did it happen, what happened etc?
As a first - make sure all of your drivers are up to date - especially GPU drivers.
This error can appear with faulty GPU drivers / HW.
Thank you for your response.
My PC specs are:
OS - Windows 10
CPU - Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
MOBO - ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming
RAM - G Skill RipJaws V 16GB DDR4
GPU - MSI 980Ti Sea Hawk Edition
PSU - Seasonic 850W 80PlusBronze ATX
The problem i encounter randomly is my PC completely freezes (usually when playing games) and sometimes makes a high pitched noise through my headset, but not often, mostly just completely freezes until you force restart it. No BSOD.
I can confirm my drivers for my GPU are up to date, along with all other drivers retrieved from the Asus site for my particular MOBO.
Appreciate your help.
