Hardware failure after fresh windows re-install

[Help me with my pc]

my pc was a bit slow and there was so much on it that i didnt need or want that i decided to start fresh, i backed up the most important things to me and then re installed windows. I updated everything with the cd's then connected to the internet and updated the rest, but now every now and again at seemingly random occurrences my pc will display a blue screen telling me that it has hardware failure, note that this never happened before my fresh install and since then i have re installed again just incase it was an error with the windows install.

What version of windows? 8.1 used to have bsod issues latelty but they released a fix for it.

Windows 7 which is why i am so confused, its the most stable OS I have ever used.

Upload your .dmp file from .../windows/minidump I could take a look and check what it tells us.
