Hardware or Software engineering degree? Which is better?

I am looking at getting a degree in Computer Engineering, but I am not sure which route to take. Should I focus on Hardware or Software? If you have any experience please explain and give me your pro's and Con's. What type job do you do etc...

Well, see how you like your programming classes. If you're not a fan, maybe consider moving more towards electrical engineering.
