Question Hardware Reserved Memory

Hello,

I installed two sticks of RAM, 4 gigabytes each. My PC reports that half of the RAM is usable (about 3.94 GB). In System Information, it shows that the "Installed Physical Memory (RAM)" is 8.0 GB but shows that the "Total Physical Memory" is half of that.

I set to "No Paging" file but that ended up slowing my pc and causing instability issues.

The RAM is installed in slots DDR4_1 and DDR4_2 as the motherboard manual recommends.

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard at this moment of time?

Are you running 32-bit Windows or 64-bit Windows?

When Windows says that half your system RAM is reserved, it usually means one DIMM is bad.

Boot the computer from USB and run MemTest86+ to check RAM.
