[SOLVED] Hardware reserved too much ram in computer.

My pc have 8 gb ram, Motherboard asrock b450m pro 4-f, Processor is Amd ryzen 5 3400g. In task manager it shows, Hardware reserved 2 gb ram. So i get 5.9 gb ram useable. Is it normal?? or this problem have solution??

Yes, I think that would be normal. The built-in graphics processor has reserved that memory for display buffer.

Look into the bios and set memory for the igp to something as low as you can choose,see if this helps.

Do you actually need the RAM? That's the key question. That the integrated graphics is using RAM is as-designed.

Saw a review form Hardware unboxed where they said it didn't make a differencve to set it as low as you can. If the igp starts running out of memory will it fallback on system memory anyway which is the same as the hardware reserved.

I had the same exact issue was pulling my PC apart to return it for repairs when it clicked they come in pairs and need to be in the correct slots over pairs in A1B1 other pair A2 B2 and it works instantly who would instantly 61.9 gig active memory. But clock speed claims 2133mhz but CPU-Z says 1866 n gpu drops toc800hz but I need the r for vmware
