currently i use a 9500 gt ,it has served me well
and i chose 750ti over 650ti boost edition
now i have a 4 gb ddr2 ram and core 2 duo processor
I am not a hardcore gamer, still i play DOta 2 and cs go. And i would like to play some other pc games like Deux ex and stuff.

what kind of hardware should i get to replace my current ram and processor for an average pc gaming

Solution
I would suggest an Intel i5 quad core, which would allow you to play CPU intensive games and future games.. You could go cheaper by using AMD parts, but you would sacrifice performance and any future upgrades. And maybe a new PSU, if yours is the original when you built your PC.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($174.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($71.88 @ OutletPC)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $276.76
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
