Hardware Upgrade Suggestions

Hello, I am looking to get more performance out of my system. I am wondering if my mobo or cpu could be bottlenecking my gpu. I'm having no system problems just wondering what makes sense to upgrade to best support my mid-high end GPU I recently just bought. Here are my specs:
Amd fx8350 cpu
Msi r9 390
Cooler master 212 evo
EVGA 800W
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Mobo
Roswell challenger U3 mid tower case
AsusVG248QE monitor 1080p 144hz
Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
WD caviar black HD

i dont think the 8350 will bottleneck the 390. i have an OC'd 6300 with a 290x (same mobo too), and there's no bottleneck. but i think you're best improvement is a mid-high end intel chip. i hate to admit it, but they are the superior chips. that being said, what kind of performance are you looking for? my system runs everything at max settings and between 50-60fps, and yours is def superior.

You might get some improvement by overclocking your system, but you'll need to be careful. Your board has heatsinks on the VRMs, but make sure you have good airflow (typically front to back) through your case.
Unlikely, but just in case, make sure the graphics card is plugged into the slot nearest the CPU (the x16 slot, not the x4).

I was looking for more performance in a game that only uses one Cpu, so i am sure intel would be better. Good to hear that they shouldnt be bottlenecking! Thanks.

Checked and it is in the correct slot. Also i am going to post another thread in which my overclocking will be in.
