Harsh time overclocking my R7 260 x need help

My overclocking tool Is sapphire trixx when I over clock memory and core by 100 mhz it goes fine but when I get higher than that tomb raider freezes then I get 20 frame drops when opening it again and to regain my previous performance be4 OC I had to uninstall trixx and my driver and install my driver again my mobo is msi 760 gm p 33 m and my cpu is amd athlon x2 250

If it's crashing you need to lower your overclock.
