Has 200+ Series DIED?

Is the 200+ series still good because in my new system i got GTS250 1GB which has same core as the 9800GTX+ But its still gts250 series becuase there all made like that but it has a smaller die, do ask me why Im not getting GTX260 or something I really wanna know is the GTS250 and above still ok for gaming but not at full settings?

The 200 series is no longer being produced so in that sense yes it's dead, but I'm still using the 8 series cards for gaming so the 200 series must still be usable.

The G92 parts in sli will hold for a long time if maintained and they offer a lot of performance still so only bother if you really wan/need the upgrade.

My 260's are still going strong. Untill I can't play something with max settings (AA and AF excluding) they will be sticking with me.

The production died, the cards still live inside our heart..i mean PC's still today.
The gts250 is still ok for gaming.

A pair of GTX 260 Core 216's will run in SLI equal to my GTX 470. So the 200 series is certainly not "dead" in that sense.

The GTS 250 is still a good card. Ultimately it all comes down to your budget, the resolution you play at, and whether you absolutely have to play the latest, greatest games as maximum graphic settings or not.
