My budget is £800 and I all ready have a monitor.

For £800 there really isn't any reason not to get an Ivy Bridge CPU, and while the 7870 is an excellent card the 660TI is better.

And there's way better cases you can get than the Zalman Z9. Also way too much spent on peripherals - you can always get the good ones later.

The 7870 will get a price-drop to $250 next week. The 7950 will get a drop to $300. For $300, the 7950 obliterates the 660Ti in everything, except BF3 where it loses by a few FPS. Hold off till next week.

Checking Tom's review, they used 12.7 beta. 12.8 got released the same day, IIRC, and it improved BF3 performance by 3%.

Interesting. I know AMD doesn't screw around when it comes to releasing new driver updates but that's good to know.

I have gone for the HIS Radeon HD 7950 3GB its better and cheaper in the UK.

Checking the changelog, it affects Skyrim the most. Up to a 25% performance gain in Skyrim.
