I have one on order through Amazon but they have screwed up my order so bad I am considering cancelling it. I am also reading a lot of bad reviews about the remote and inability to change tv inputs without going through a lot of menus.

I am now second guessing my choice to go with this model. From what I have read, which is everything I can find, the S90C is the 2023 tv of the year. No doubt it would be a nice tv but I am wondering if there are better alternatives without spending considerably more?

that depends on what exactly you are looking for;
panel type,
resolution,
adaptive sync,
HDR type,
audio options,
input options,
stand type, etc...

there are a great many values to be considered when looking for a certain TV type in a certain price range.
Panel type Oled
Resolution 4K
Adpative sync, don't know
HDR type don't know
Audio options not relevant, using surround sound with tv speakers on mute
Input options ?
Stand, center mount, not stand legs at edges of tv

The TV Ive had for maybe 2 months and it is AMAZING! The picture is extremely bright and colorful. I've even tried and returned the Neo QLED (from Costco) as this far surpasses it. HOWEVER the remote is pitiful!! Sooo small and too light. It NEEDS a source button on the remote and it is very sensitive. You just brush against it and sometimes changes settings. Disney+ buttons etc useless. If they just redo the remote to a more substantial feeling remote it would be PERFECT!

It may be possible to use a remote from a different Samsung model. Always worth checking as you can often find replacement remotes quite cheap online.

But since a lot of them are switching to voice input, they are basically cheaping out on the remotes.

This thread is a month old and OP hasn't replied again...

I have a 55" Samsung TV and the menu system is not the most favored situation. Selecting certain inputs can be a REAL bother, and heaven forbid you accidentally delete one. The only other gripe I have about mine is/was the on unit power button. It was a cheap little leaf of plastic, broke, and now you cannot power on/off from anything but the remote.

Aside from that it has been a pretty exceptional unit. What was really nice was RTings did an in depth review of the one I have and their screen/color settings were far more favorable than it came default.

I have a 32" QD-OLED Samsung, and the remote is the thing I like the least. I can't imagine the volume/channel buttons are going to last as long as the more traditional membrane style. I really don't like the UI, but I mostly just pull up streaming apps anyway.

But I don't use it often enough to go track down compatible remotes like I did with my Vizio. My house came with a TV swing/arm mount in the corner, and rather than taking it down and fixing the wall I just decided to populate it.

I haven't replied because nobody posted since my last post until today. LOL

I ended up buying the S90C 77". The tv is fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised to discover my Firestick remote and my Dish remote turn the tv on and I didn't even have to enter any codes to pair them. I also don't need to use the Samsung remote to switch inputs. For example, if I am watching Dish and want to switch to Firestick all I have to do is hit the home button on the Firestick remote. It usually works in reverse with the Dish remote but sometimes it doesn't work. I did replace the batteries in the Dish remote recently so that might be the issue. I never used the remote on my old Samsung either. It was the exact opposite, huge, odd shape and a million buttons.
