Hi,

I have a b450m pro4 and although it says it's not possible to downgrade bios, I did that by mistake a couple of years ago and it kept working.

But that was for the same generations of CPUs.

Now I want to upgrade from the bios prior to the support of the 5000 series to the latest bios(version 5.70) that supports it in order to install a 5600x

But then I might want to pull the 5600x out and put the old CPU (Ryzen 3600) back with version 3.50.

And although it says I can't I wonder if someone did something similar because I did it in the past, just not specifically for different generations

Thanks

you can downgrade the same way you upgrade.
flashing the older bios version is possible (it should obviously be, if there is a bug or smth)
they just say you cant, so you stay updated

No need at all, it will even work better with newest BIOS.
