Has anyone tried those replacement BIOS chips on ebay, and if so, any luck

My browsing computer is down for the count, and best i can figure it's the BIOS chip - after seeing them on ebay, i found mine on the Z97 board and it literally just pops out - so it's an easy chore to replace, physically

anyone have any experience with them?

I haven't had experience with that particular chip but I've had great success buying used computer and electronics items from EBay.

thanks but these items are new, sourced from china so it's kind of a mixed bag
price is fair ($13) but the savings in time of not having to swap out motherboards is worth it and the wait if they work

i've got a backup board, still new in the box, and from what
they're going for, i could build half my computer
