Has Half Life Original GONE now?

Gents,

I seem to be inable to run Halflife anymore in multiplayer mode. It
tells me I need to upgrade - so I click seach for upgrade. I am told
that no upgrade exists for my version..end of story!


Then I try getting in using Gamespy - no joiy there.

Has HalfLife 2 taken over now and do I need to get the new game...

Also - have they done a CS mod for it?

Great. Now it's worse.

I try to register my CD (I have Half Life Generations - bought it from
Dixons years ago) and it tells me the CD key is invalid.

So - now I suppose they expect me to buy a new copy....

Any ideas anyone?

That totally suks.
There is a system in place for that problem.
Look it up under trouble-shooter:

http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=support

I've heard it takes a few weeks to get your key reset or for them to send
you a new one if yours was a duplicate.

meh, source is ok, not what it was cracked up to be. quite disappointing.
ive only played it sparringly, once i start playing it ill have more info
for you.

I wonder if that is worth a go?

Sounds more like software to steal your key and substitute someone elses.

Well as gamespy just finds servers it has nothing to do with the
version of CS it should still work but the WON authentication servers
that CS 1.5 and below use are not there anymore so only 1.6 and steam
will work
