I have a R9 290 which was running alright until recently it kept crashing whilst playing DayZ and Metro LL it got to the stage it wouldn't even run Metro for 10 seconds without crashing, (Black screen monitors off) but PC still on.
I found it would only run if I manually set the fan speed to 60% with MSI afterburner. then it ran fine for a while until I decided to test the theory and dropped it back to auto. then at 85 degrees the PC black screened now it wont even display BIOS
I have dropped in my old 7850 and it runs fine but when I put the R9 in nothing don't tell me it's knackered ?
