Hi all
I'm really puzzled - I replaced my old i7-4770 chip with a i7-4790K on my Asus A81M-E motherboard.
Whilst taking out the old CPU the lever did spring out a bit and lightly hit a memory module.
With the new CPU the fan spins for one second and stops. (Bios is updated to a level that should support the 4790k).
I replaced the old CPU and it would only boot if I remove one of the memory slots. (The one that got a minor ding from the lever!)
I've swapped the memory - both chips work in the one slot.
Does it look like my motherboard is now faulty?
Thanks in anticipation!
Phil
