[SOLVED] Hasbro 3D Centipede on Windows 10? Can you play old dierctx5 games on windows 10?

so i'm trying to run the old 3D Centipede game by Hasbros Entertainment on my windows 10 pc. I've been running it on my other windows xp pc. I downloaded the directx5 driver but it still doesn't run properly. I was able to install it fine but when i attempted to launch it the game crashes and i get the error message
"error in IpDDPal-> setEntries(0,0,2556,ppe) at line 416 code=8004005(dec=16389)"
I've attempted running the game in various Windows compatibility modes but i end up with the same error message. I would appreciate any insight on this issue.

It's likely a 16 bit game which can't be run on 64 bit os. Even if it was 32 bit, that's 20+ years of technology gone by. That's multiple lifetimes in tech years. You could use a vm with an older windows within 10 but it won't be running natively.
