If your going to be using it primarily for editing, I'd look at the Haswell-E X99 platform. Depending on your software it may prefer the extra cores over the higher speed.

yeah, im building new. my old amd died a year ago and i was buying the parts one by one. overall both have the same price in my country, the only thing i regret is that i bought 2 ddr3 ram. i think im giving those to my dad as a present since he is building too but he is not an enthusiast.

i will use Adobe Premiere CC with the coloring software. also i will use Da Vinci and Reaper.
