Hi there guys.
I am new here and I found this forum for very helpful. I have few questions and I hope I would get the right answers.
I am limited on budget so there are few different variations I can consider.

G3420 + R7 260x + 8 gigs of RAM
G3420 + GTX750Ti + 4 gigs of RAM
i3 4130 + R7 260x + 4 gigs of RAM

Honestly, the reasonable choice is to get the more ram but I am not a fan of AMD. I had many problems with AMD products both CPU's & GPU's and none with Intel & Nvidia . Maybe a bad luck but I'm sick of it.And this is one more reason not to pick 760k instead of the feature proof 1150 right now. So I wanna take the 750Ti. To do so I have few questions that not many people can answer me properly . OK here we go :

1.Some people say that this pentium is the same as i3 4130 without the hyper threading. Is that correct? Let's say we have BF4, how much FPS less i will get compared to the i3 ?

2.Few people said that combining that Pentium with Nvidia card is bad choice because an Nvidia card cannot work properly with a CPU that has only 2 cores / 2 threads and there will be huge FPS drops . Some of them say is driver related. Is that true?

3.Is that CPU capable running GTX750Ti without any bottleneck? If the answer is yes, are 4 gigs of ram enough in that case for now?

I know I want much for less and that's not gonna happend. My goal are 60FPS Medium Settings at 1080p. Playing mostly MMORPG/MMOFPS games.

Thanks in advance. I will aprisiate any comments.

Yes the Pentiums and the i3s start off as the same chip, but there are more differences than just hyperthreading. Check this out and you'll see loads of differences. http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/293/Intel_Core_i3_i3-4130_vs_Intel_Pentium_Dual-Core_G3420.html

It's tough to choose between the 2nd and 3rd option. I agree that at such a low budget, 4GB of RAM is the way to go. I would get the Pentium if I know I was going to be able to upgrade the cpu in less than a year, but I wouldn't want to be stuck using it for very long. The i3 could last a couple of years if needed. The 750ti is a good bit better than the 260x though and it uses about half the power. Couldn't you just save enough money to get the i3 and the 750ti?

I think the G3420 + 750TI + one stick of 4G of ram make the most sense for performance per $. The G3420 is very close to the i3's performance so the saving can be put into the 750ti. Which will impact performance more. Going with a single 4G first will allow you to add another 4G without getting rid of any ram.

I will upgrade in the next 1-2 years or so. Will jump into GTX770+i3 or i5.
There is an idea for now getting 8gigs g3420 & 750 non Ti. Will that do the trick?
Also what do you guys think about the question I asked for the 2 threaded cpu + Nvidia? Is that true?

Goodegray, yes I know that. My problem is that people cannot confirm that the Pentium G3420 3.2Ghz won't have significant fps drop in games who can utilize 4 core cpu on full hd resolution. Let's say we have some MMORPG game , can I play on FullHD Medium Settings with 60 Fps without the CPU holding me back to 40 if my GPU is capable to handle the game at 60 FPS with no drops...?

So can I assume that the myth about Nvidia not optimized to work properly with 2 cores/2 threads CPU is fake? If that's the case I'm OK with that CPU in the next 1 to 2 Years till I upgrade....
So anyone? Opinions please. I asked the same question over and over again and no seems to give me exact answer.

The Pentium g3420 will be just "OK" at best in gaming. Being just a dual core, it is going to struggle a LOT in some titles, and not at all in others. I would not want to be stuck with it for an entire year or more. The Athlon x4 750k or 760k would be a lot better NOW, but don't offer a good upgrade path for the future.

So it seems I need to wait or just get i5 now and later only add not upgrade. Really the i3 is double the price on my country compared with the G3420. Looks like i3 is waste of money. Either I will get pentium or pick i5 now and get sick playing nothing few months...

This is the exact build I'm looking into with the option for feature upgrade. In the next 1-2 years.

CM K350 600W PSU
ASUS H81M PLUS
4G KINGSTON 1600 XYPERX
1T SEAGATE SATA III BARACUDA
PENTIUM G3420 3.2GHZ
PALIT GTX 750 1G

That will cost me 800BGN which is around 530USD.The PSU in the case has same specification like the Thunder 500W by CM.

like I said my main concern is the dual-core cpu+Nvidia myth. Few people people say there will sudden drops in FPS some times even if my GPU and CPU are capable to handle 60 FPS. They say that the Nvidia drivers are not optimized to work properly with 2cores/2 threads CPU. So true or not?

Total myth. In fact, in many cases nvidia GPUs work better with low end CPUs than AMD GPUs (ignoring Mantle).
That's the first time I've heard of that one too. I wouldn't see why that would be the case unless one is undoubtedly more powerful or better optimized for a game.

I would like to thank you all for the comments. Now I know that some people were trolling to me.
Intact of you guys want further chit chat about that I will be OK to show you some comments and videos about the case I wanted to know the true about.
Let's start with a video comparison. Check this out and read the comments.

„Battlefield 4 Pentium G3220 + Radeon R9 280X Full…“: http://youtu.be/9Er-wXiPyjE

I'm not sure if your comment is in favor or against the pentium. If it is against the video does display that argument. There is a clear case of the pentium bottle necking the 280x. The 7970 (280x equivalent) was capable of pulling more frames back in the beta with a better matched cpu.

If you feel that the 33fps is fluid enough to you though, then more power to yah!

Pentium is not a very good CPU for BF4. For games that only take advantage of 2 cores, it is good enough to start with. Why anyone would want to pair a 280x with a Pentium G is beyond me. That is a huge imbalance. I would probably say that an i5 4440 and a 270x would perform better in BF4 than a pentium G and a 280x.
