giving me some stutter in gta v and ever so slightly is crisis 3. I wasn't getting any really in win 10 but win 10 kept crashing and I had no option but to go back . Im not too familiar with withs like , adaptive vsync and all the other settings within the NVidia control panel . Any ideas on what settings I need to tweak? thanks

Since you have done an upgrade to Windows 10 and hopefully it activated you can do a clean install this time. Once Windows 10 is installed make sure you have downloaded and installed the recent NVidia graphics driver.

Stuttering can be caused by turning on V-Sync and less so by Adaptive sync. What you really want to go with your awesome Titan X is a G-Sync monitor.

You will need Windows 10 for DX12 when the new games start coming out. Also to benefit from older games that are patched for DX12.

Witcher 3 and GTA 5 run normally on my Win10 PC.
No crash, no stutters unless it stutters already on Win7, etc.
Something is wrong on your Win10 rig.
I did even only the upgrade over 9 months old Win7, not a clean install. (I reverted from Win8.1 to Win7 9 months ago.)

It is not fair to judge a product by its beta. Instead you should upgrade to the RTM and try it again. It may have just been an older NVidia driver that was causing the issue. I am enjoying my games, ESO, Batman AK + many others, on my 980 Ti without tearing, stuttering or lag using G-Sync.

I can't wait to see how the Witcher 3 and Batman DX12 patch takes these games to the next level.
