After installing a pci modem into my sytem, my computer refuses to shut down, instead it restarts. If I remove the modem, all is fine. Whats up????
My sys is
Microstar 6380 Mboard
On board CMI 8338 sound
On board SIS 530 Agp Chipset
Motorola SM56 Pci speakerphone modem
32 Mb Pc100 Ram.
Ive checked the bios but nothing, I even updated all drivers but no luck.
Any help would be welcome....

Your acpi management. Check on that on Motorola pages for information. Check for driver update, bios update. I had this prob a sound card...
