So here are the two builds. Like I say I will use the pc mostly for Rendering/Autocad and 3d because I am an architect student about to finish.

In the first setup I will have a worse GPU but a 6core processor and DDR4 ram. Basically Im just wondering if this 6core DD4 ram will make much diference when rendering or using photoshop as to the other 4core DDR3 choice. As you can see there is a big diference between the GPU's. I must say I have an extra 8800gt laying around to SLI if possible or whatever you call that, im a noob at this stuff xD

To note I wont be overcloking I think becauase ive never done that nor do I know how to.

Thank you very much for reading

For the most part, I would say build 2. Your programs are very Nvidia friendly. Not sure why you chose a mini-itx board, and a mid tower case though. Do not really need the aftermarket cooler, for the 4790. Even then I would get something less expensive, like the Rajintek Aidos, or coolermaster Hyper 212 evo.

Build 1 has a poor quality PSU, just as an FYI.

You think getting a better motherboard that would allow me to SLI with my 8800gt be worth it? Im kind of on a budget and would only do that if it was super worth it. Thanks for the changes by the way

Ok thanks. Another thing, I dont think I will overclock as Ive never done that or thinks its needed, so bettween a Xeon 1231 and the i7 4790k what would you choose? If its noticeble speed diference in rendering or 3d? I think its around 70-80$ difference which if the speed of renders or reaction time on the pc was remotely noticeable I wouldnt mind getting the i7 instead
