Hello all, I need help with adding a 1TB HDD to my current set up which has 2 Samsung Pro 840's in Raid 0. The raid configuration is working properly and is set up correct in the Bios (Raid Array). The problem is when trying to plug in a 1 TB HDD ( w/ bunch of movies/ pic etc) into the computer. It won't boot, It either stalls at the start up screen or gives me a windows repair screen. Looking for any suggestions on how to solve the problem.

I have an Asus ROG Maximus VI Hero Mobo.

I could try that, is there any difference in the way the drives interact via ASmedia SATA vs Internal SATA connectors?

Ok, so I tried unplugging HDD from INTEL SATA port and plugged into the ASmedia SATA, It posts but then same thing, goes to Launch windows repair mode and then blue screened. So I moved it back to one of the bottom Intel ports. I also gave it's own power connector to make sure it wasn't a power issue with the blue screen, but still didn't work upon a reboot.

Installed the ASmedia driver, then tried plugging it back in, wouldn't even boot. Actually i booted into the UEFI bios, I double checked my boot order was correct, rebooted, posted then went to blue screen. So I'm back to square one.
