Have at&t 2wire modem not able to connect to internet

Hello, I purchased AT&T dsl a couple of wks ago. Connected everything, working ok, but housekeeper said the breaker switch flipped the day she was there vac'ing, so after that I haven't been able to get internet. I bought a power surge plug, a new power supply from Radio Shack and a new Ethernet cable. Nothing has worked. Would the breaker have blown out the modem or somehow affected the phone line. That's the only line I haven't replaced since signing up with AT&T.

Did you even consider calling AT&T for help before posting here?
