Have Dell with reformatted HDD no installation discs what is my best

I was gifted this computer it a Dell DIMENSION 5150 date 2005
had windows XP r MEDIA CENTRE EDITION 2005
had to reformat disc only left with DELL DIAGNOSTIC what is the least expensive course of action

long time since since I last contacted.It has been quite interesting what happened since.i bought a dell installation CD on Ebay that was Oct.4 2010
it never arrived cost was £8.25 was a swindler but got money back from ebay
however bought another CD from ebay and it worked great did not even put in ID number
