Have Dell XPS recognize 5 ghz wifi

My Dell XPS recognizes 2.4 ghz wifi, how do I get it to recognize 5 ghz?

My Wireless-N devices going back to 2009-10 recognize 5 GHz networks. In fact, my iPhone is the only AC device on my network, but all are connected to the 5 GHz.

OP, make sure the 5 GHz network name in the router configuration is a different name than 2.4 GHz.

Check the wireless card you have installed in your PC. Perhaps your model doesn't support 5GHz networks.
