Hello, I am about to build my first pc, and I have made a full list of all the components I am going to buy (I haven't bought anything yet). Since it is my first time I'm afraid if I have missed something or matched parts that won't work together, I wanna see what you guys think before I commit and buy, and get some advice on how I can save more.

Main uses for this PC are going to be 1080p gaming on high settings for current gen games (Witcher 3, AC Odyssey, Anthem, Star Citizen, etc) and some very light video editing/blender. My budget is very tight.

CASE : Phanteks Eclipse P300 Tempered Glass
MOBO: MSI B450M Bazooka PLUS mATX
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
CPU FAN: stock ryzen 5 cooler
GPU: Zotac Gaming RTX 2060 AMP
SSD: Kingston A400 120GB SATA 2.5"
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5"
RAM: (1x) Patriot Signature Line DDR4 2666 8GB
PSU: Corsair CXM 650W
WI-FI USB ADAPTOR: Asus USB-N14 N300
MONITOR: AOC C24G1 24" 144Hz 1ms

I know the 2060 only has 6GB VRAM but I can't afford the jump in price to 2070 and I heard it's not good value anyway. I will be using my old headphones, mouse and keyboard from my old computer for now until I can afford to buy new ones. I don't think an optical drive is necessary. I'll also buy a 64gb USB drive to transfer Windows 10 from my current PC to the new one. So, with everything listed here, will I be able to build and then run my PC fine ?

Are there any ways I can save a bit on price ?
I heard 16gb RAM is important, is it okay if I use one stick of 8GB for now and then buy another 8GB stick in 6 months or so ? Will it have to be the exact same brand/model or can I use any other 8GB RAM stick ? I saw the benchmark tests for the RTX 2060, and it can run most games at 1080p High at 90-100+ fps so I thought it would be a waste to buy a 60Hz monitor. Is it worth the extra price for 144Hz (I will be playing competitive CSGO occasionally) ?

Thanks ! :)

Solution
I see two issues with your build.

1. A single ram stick will only operate in single channel mode. Ryzen likes fast ram so a 2 x 4gb kit would be better.
Do not count on adding ram later.
Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
The internal workings are designed for the capacity of the kit.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards, can be very sensitive to this.
This is more difficult when more sticks are involved.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.
I think 8gb is enough, and whenever you want 16gb, plan on buying a 16gb kit.

I will never again build without a ssd for the "C" drive. It makes everything you do much quicker.
120gb is minimum, it will hold the os and a handful of games.
But, many things default to the "C" drive.
When a SSD nears full, it will lose performance and endurance.
240gb is the recommended minimum.
If you can go 240gb, or 500gb you may never need a hard drive.
You can defer on the hard drive unless you need to store large files such as video's.
It is easy to add a hard drive later.
Samsung EVO is a good choice for performance and reliability.

Your desire for competitive CSGO interested me.
I am no expert on csgo.
Reading this article makes me think that you may be overspending for that game: for 1080P

Thank you everyone for the replies, I will try to get the G Skill 2x 8GB RAM suggested, and I'll get a 75Hz monitor instead of 144Hz. I'm going to get a 500GB Samsung Evo 860 2.5" SSD and no HDD.

I made a parts list here : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jsYCQZ
(I couldn't find any RTX 2060s on the site so I put a GTX 1060 instead just as a placeholder)
