I'm new to working with the more detailed laptop software workings. So I'm just after a bit of advice. I like to have a little bit of knowledge so I know when NOT to start messing with stuff.
In Device Manager I seem to have a more than expected number of 'Human Interface Devices'. Is this normal? Is there any way of specifically identifying them so I know what's connected and what isn't?
There are 3 marked as "HID Compliant" with device, pen or touch screen after them so I'm assuming that's the touch pen and the physical hardware of the laptop.
There are 2 more marked as "I2C HID Device" and another 5 listed as "HID-compliant vendor-defined device".
I just want to make sure there's nothing to worry about.
Thanks,

HP ENVY x360 (AMD RYZEN 7).

From DevMgr, rt-click on HID device > Properties > Details tab > Property dropdown. Some of the labels in there may identify device, but if not, get the top Hardware ID. From there, extract vendor ID and device ID.

Ex: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3EA0, where VEN = vendor ID, DEV = device HD.

Go to https://pcilookup.com or https://devicehunt.com for lookup.

Thank you for helping. I went into device manager and clicked on one of the HID's. There were 7 different 'HID' labels. I've copied this list below from one of the "HID-compliant vendor-defined device" links. There are 4 more of these and two "I2C HID Device" links as well.
This is getting a bit complicated for me. If I just leave them and do nothing with them could they do anything to my laptop?
