Have Lenovo y510p just bought 144hz monitor Wondering if 1080p 120z would be possible...

Was wondering my laptop has a 15 pin VGA port, but the monitor came with a dual link vga, is there anyway for me to get 144hz 1080p from my setup? Any help would be super appreciated... I checked a bunch of other threads and all were talking about mini displays ports which I'm certain I don't have. So could I achieve 144hz 1080p from a 15 pin vga and hdmi port?

Monitor: asus vg248qe
Laptop: Lenovo Y510 dual gfx cards

If I can't get 1080p / 144hz what's the best I could do keeping the 1080p?

Just trying to get 120hz now, not sure how to do this just got a nice hdmi cable, that said it was compatible with 1.4b still locked @ 60hz for the monitor
