Have really good wifi but not when using PC

Hi so i just got a new pc for gaming and i used to use a laptop which ran pretty well with absolute no lag whether someone else is on it or not. On the new computer CSGO lags like a storm and i know its not my wifi but the only problem is im unable to run any cables for my router to my PC so i cant harwire or run ethernet. My new pc doesnt run wifi so it has an internet adapter at 1300 mbps but i think thats the problem. I need help because my wifi is really good but not with this adapter.
