Have they sent me the wrong memory???

I have just build myself a new computer and was unable to get it to work. After a quick visit to a computer shop they told me the memory didn't work. There should be nothing wrong with the memory itself but when i went back onto the ebay listing where i bought it, I noticed a difference between what i bought and what i received.

Could someone please tell me what the difference between a memory stick that says

2GB PC 4200/4300 533MHZ DDR2 DIMM <--- (what i received)

and

2GB PC2 4200/4300 AM2 533MHZ DDR2 DIMM <---(what i ordered)

just incase there is compatibility problems my motherboard is a
GeForce6100PM-M2 (link below to manuf. website)

well the only difference is the AM2, part, which is a cpu socket. i don't see how that would affect the ram in any way.
